Increasing Social Capital Among Marginalized Youth

Middlelayers, a technology start up dedicated to increasing social capital among marginalized youth for the purpose of promoting equality of opportunity, health, and social mobility.  Their mission is to bridge the gap between disadvantaged families and the resources they need to thrive. Middlelayers innovation simplifies access to education, healthcare, and other supports that empower children to overcome adversity, build resilience, and become upwardly mobile.

Overseeing the design, development and implementation of the Middlelayers platform is the Founder and CEO, Dr. Mintu Bachann. He has started and/or worked with several technology start-ups, which IPO’d, or sold to private equity. He has worked for several Fortune 500 companies, including Strayer Education, Bank of America and Oracle, and has created over 20 types of cloud-based and enterprise software. In his free time, he enjoys watching the Fighting Irish, the Cowboys, and Golf, and reading theorems of Bayes, Neumann and Nash. Dr. Bachann received his D.Sc. from Institute for Artificial Intelligence, at School of Engineering and Applied Science, at George Washington University.
